Driving through the Rocky Mountains of Colorado never gets old. The light there can change so quickly which helps to offer a new perspective on places you might have seen a thousand times. Such was the case this day. After fly fishing the Gunnison River with friends I picked up my dog and started driving West. The mountain weather was moody - a gift compared to bald skies. While driving along The Blue Mesa Reservoir on Route 50 I was greeted with this abstract scene that transformed the land into a somewhat dreamlike state. The mountains, water, and vegetation turned into an oddly cohesive composition of shapes and textures. It’s moments like this that keep me permanently addicted to photography road trips.

About the prints: all prints are made with a white border to make framing easy with or without a mat.
