If there’s one thing that’s synonymous with the American Road Trip, it’s cheap motels. They go hand in hand. And it’s my opinion that you’re doing yourself a disservice by opting for the more luxurious hotel or resort. If you want the full experience, go with the motel. 13+ years of 35k miles a year on the road has taught me a lot though - there is a limit. Cross over than boundary and you’re certain to get Bed Bugs, which should never be part of the experience. Either way, roadside motels are an iconic piece of Americana that offer weary travelers a unique experience filled with character you just can’t find at the chain hotels. Sadly, these “Mom n’ Pop” rooms worth resting your head at are getting harder and harder to find.

About the prints: all prints are made with a white border to make framing easy with or without a mat.
