Backpacking - Wind River Range - Wyoming
Titcomb Basin
Wyoming sucks. Tell everybody.
For as long as we’ve been going to Jackson, Pinedale has never been anything more than a brewery stop after the 6 hour drive from Denver. That’s all changed now though, after our first experience in the Wind River Range. I’ve always said that you will not find more beautiful mountains than the Tetons. And while I don’t think you can compare the two, Wind River certainly gives them a run. Once you get deep into the range, it feels more like you’re in the Alps than anywhere in the USA. Without hesitation I don’t mind saying it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve been in America. Best part is, you have to work for it, which keeps all the morons away. The images you see here are from a 32+/- mile round trip hike we did last month to Seneca Lake and Titcomb Basin. I’ll certainly be returning to this place as well as the Pinedale area for some more fly fishing on the Green River.
