Throughout my career I’ve been lucky to photograph some of the most famous athletes on the planet like Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal. All due respect, but none of them have been half as inspiring to me as the Texas legend Boots O’Neal. For the last 25+ years he’s called the 6666 Ranch home, and at 92 years old he still saddles a horse every day to work cattle alongside cowboys that could be his grandkids! He’s one of the lucky few that found true happiness in his “profession” and is fortunate to still be doing it so late into life. Boots is the kind of person that makes you better just by being around him.
