Ohio - Hoop Dreams - Wall Art - Basketball Culture
Wandering through Ohio one day back in 2018 I was photographing a basketball hoop on a rural property. The owner gave me permission then left me alone to work. It was a cold day out in farm country and the only noise to be heard was the wind wiping through the trees that were set against ominous winter clouds. After shooting for 30 minutes or so I was sorta zoned out on making images when a startling voice whispered in my ear. It was the owner who had walked up behind me unannounced. He was as kind as can be but it made my heart jump. He said “there’s this old barn up the road with a hoop inside where we used to play as kids. Would that interest you?”
About the prints: all prints are made with a white border to make framing easy with or without a mat.
Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints are hand signed/numbered on museum quality archival fine art Hahnemuhle Baryta paper. In my opinion there is no better medium to print and display fine art photographs on. Its surface is smooth with a subtle texture, and a slightly warm base that produces very pleasing B&W prints reminiscent of platinum prints and meets the highest industry standards regarding density, color gamut, color graduation, and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper.
